Three Big Events - March 8, 9, and 10, 2008

This last week has had been “book-ended” by two fantastic weekends with three big events. The first weekend, we were able to be in Idaho for the celebration in advance of Sandra’s parents’ 60th anniversary celebration, March 8, 2008. We were able to have a dinner and evening with all of Sandra’s brothers and sisters. Everyone was able to be there except for Pam who was away in Utah with her new granddaughter Zoey Warner.

The wonderful dinner!!!!!
The next big event was my Dad’s birthday, March 9, 2008. We were able to gather at my brother Kent’s house for a nice celebration. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed being together. It is great to be able to go to celebrate Dad’s birthday. He is a wonderful father and example. I cannot think of anyone who has influenced my life more than my father. He certainly is a great example of Christian living and having a pure heart. He has had a tremendous influence on all those around him throughout his life. I hope we can continue to enjoy our great associations with him through the future.

The third big event was Greg Brown’s birthday that will actually be tomorrow on March 10, 2008. We were able to get a head start by celebrating in the late afternoon on Sunday before we went to Kent’s house. We had everyone here except for Rick, Janae, and Wyatt. It has been quite a while since we have been able to get everyone up here for dinner.

Lots of excitement at our home.
Greg is excited with his present and was even surprised with the "Hand and Foot Game" (not shown - this is a DVD).

We certainly have a great life and a lot for which we can be thankful. I hope we can always appreciate the many blessings that we have.
